The NU Nanofabrication facility provides access to world-class equipment with expert staff to empower our users excel in science

Our users fabricate

Kinetic inductance detectors for transient sky observation
In this project our users precisely pattern superconductors to fabricate light-sensitive devices that can detect single photons and register faint signals from distant galaxies and more. The detectors are designed, fabricated and will be integrated into a telescope by NU researchers.
Microfluidic devices for early detection of coagulation
Blood coagulation is one of the major side effects of viral infections, requiring timely intervention. A team of NU researchers are developing a microfluidic platform for early coagulation detection, enabling rapid and accurate analysis of blood coagulation parameters.
Flexible back-contact perovskite solar cells on plastic substrates
Perovskite solar cells on plastic substrates are of significant importance due to their flexibility and performance. NU researcher are developing the back-contact design, which will improve minimize shadowing, increase light absorption and lead to higher solar cell efficiency.
